We meet a need within our Community.
Iowa Choice Charter School exists to raise the high school graduation rate in Iowa. Every year thousands of Iowa students leave high school without a diploma, and almost none of them simply chose to. Most are carrying something: academic struggles, a job they cannot drop, a health condition, or responsibilities at home. Iowa Choice Charter School is a tuition-free public charter high school, delivered fully online to students anywhere in Iowa, built so those students can finish. We prioritize the wellbeing of our students as they work toward completing their high school education, because a diploma changes what comes next.
We are Fearlessly Future-Focused.
Iowa Choice Charter School is built for students the traditional model has not been working for: students who are behind on credits, managing anxiety or a health condition, working a job, or raising a child. Our curriculum is accredited by the Iowa Department of Education, and we enroll students in grades 7 through 12, up to age 21, who are working toward a high school diploma. Every student gets individualized guidance and a personalized education plan. We also prepare students for what comes next, with college and university preparation alongside connections to apprenticeships and internships with Iowa employers. The goal is that students leave with the tools to reach their personal and professional goals in high school and after it.

Iowa Choice Charter School removes the things that stop students finishing. No tuition. No fees. A laptop provided. A school day that starts at 10 a.m. Enrollment open any week of the year. We work with students from every background, and we know that circumstances outside school shape how a young person sees their own potential. Meeting each student where they are, with guidance built around them, is how Iowa Choice Charter School creates space for every student to flourish.
